About Us

Your hosts at Kenthurst B&B are John and Heather Hurst. An outgoing and friendly couple, they are passionate and knowledgeable about the Catlins area.

Having retired from farming a few years ago they set up this peaceful B&B just moments from the beach. Extremely well-travelled themselves, John and Heather have an understanding of the home-comforts travellers look for when on the road.

In between hosting guests and entertaining their grandchildren, John and Heather enjoy a number of hobbies. Heather is a keen gardener and golfer and walks each morning along the beach at Kaka Point. John is a regular lawn bowler and can be seen cruising around the local countryside on his three-wheeled Spyder motorbike. They both share a love for the outdoors and have tramped and climbed extensively throughout New Zealand and overseas.
